Lazy Like Crop Circles

We all have patterns of behavior and, like crop circles, they are visible to everyone but not everyone knows how they got there. Crop circles are also man-made, but we like to ascribe their appearance to aliens don't we?
At CCOT we have a booming Benevolence Ministry. The hardest meed of evaluating need is deciding who should receive relief and who doesn't really want it. Yep, that's right. Some, even though they go through the filing process really don't want to be helped. They've tricked themselves into believing that they want help, when they really want to prolong their current posture. At least, that's what I have to assume, because when suggestions are offered they come up with excuse after excuse to avoid work or sacrifice. There's always an excuse. It's self-fulfilling laziness. God is not going to honor laziness in the life of one of His kids anymore than we would our own children.
Proverbs 19:15 Life collapses on loafers; lazybones go hungry.
We try to blame our situations on God a lot, don't we? We say things like, "I don't know why God wanted me to lose my job,"or "God got me into this situation and He'll get me out." OK, so yes, sometimes God may allow us in tight latitude to test our faith, but God has no fault, so the fault must be ours.
Proverbs 19:3 People ruin their lives by their own stupidity, so why does God always get blamed?
None of us are without guilt. We all deserve situations far worse than any we are presently in. It's by the grace of God that we are not kaput. Even God's ordained life-trials are deserved (it's with good reason He makes us grow) ... let's own up and get over it. Stop blaming God and look to Him instead. Buck up and break the cycle. No more excuses, take action. There are no aliens making crop circles. We fool only ourselves.

I haven't heard the term "kaput" in years. It was usually used when I was little to describe things that just stopped working. Funny that I saw it here in a message about doing.
